Luanda - An Angolan delegation made up of members of the National Commission for the Kimberley Process (CNPK) takes part in the Plenary Meeting of the Diamond Certification System being held from November 12 to 15th in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Angolan delegation headed by the executive coordinator of the CNPK, Estanislau Buio, includes senior staff of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Endiama and Sodiam, ANGOP has learnt.
The meeting bringing together representatives of Kimberley Process member countries, industry and civil society, will assess proposals made by working groups and sub-groups to the Ad-hoc Committee for the Review and Reform of the Diamond Certification System at the Angolan capital, Luanda, held in October in the Angolan capital.
It will also make it possible to discuss and evaluate the reports of the Monitoring Working Groups by South Africa, Statistics (USA), Diamond Experts (World Diamond Council), Artisanal Alluvial Mining (DRC), the Rules and Procedures Committee (Russia) and the Chairmanship and Participation Committee (Zimbabwe).
Still within the framework of the ongoing Ad-Hoc Review and Reform Committee, various administrative decisions may be adopted.
