Luanda - The third day of the electoral campaign (Tuesday) was marked by the intensification of activities by the contestants of the general elections scheduled for 24 August and calls for tolerance, civility and respect for different ideas.
The leader of the Humanist Party of Angola (PHA), Florbela Malaquias, said that her political party will give more attention to pregnant women if it wins the elections on 24 August.
She expressed that intention at a mass rally in Ondjiva, capital of siuthern Cunene Province, stressing that the aim is to ensure that women have a healthy and peaceful gestation.
For the president of the Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola (P-NJANGO), Eduardo Chingunji, the results of the 24 August elections should be accepted as it shall reflect the will of the majority of Angolans.
“I wish that the results of the election of 24 August are accepted as the expressed will of the majority of Angolans”, said the presidential candidate.
In his message, during his ten-minute airtime on the Angola National Radio (RNA) station, the politician called for the observance of respect in the speeches of the leaders from the political forces, militants, friends and supporters.
The UNITA leader, Adalberto Costa Júnior, in Ondjiva capital City of Cunene Province, called upon the mobilization of citizens to vote for his party in the general elections on 24 August.
In a mass political rally, the candidate for President of the Republic spoke of the party's electoral manifesto, which is structured on four strategic key points of governance, namely national emergency, state reform, responsibility and social solidarity, as well as economic and sustainable development.
In its airtime on the Angola National Radio (RNA) station, UNITA presented its intention of installing small manufacturing industries nearby the main production centres aiming to combat hunger and poverty in the country, in case of winning the 24 August elections.
However, the National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA) announced in Luanda the temporary suspension of its electoral campaign, due to the arrest last Saturday of 33 party militants.
Aguiar Laurindo, FNLA secretary general, told ANGOP that among the 33 militants there are three candidates for Parliament, one from Luanda and two from the national ward.

For that, the party promises to build medicine factories for malaria, HIV-AIDS, hypertension and mosquito nets.
The Social Renewal Party (PRS), started on Tuesday in Chiluange commune, Muconda municipality on the border with DRC, its door-to-door campaign by distributing information booklets and encouragement to voters.
Speaking on “Pensar Angola” programme in the Angola National Radio station airtime, the president of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), Benedito Daniel, expressed that he forsees a sustainable economic development for Angola, if he wins the general elections on 24 August.
MPLA candidate for President of the Republic, João Lourenço, arrived Tuesday in the city of Sumbe, in Kwanza Sul Province, where he will host a mass political event on Wednesday.
The investment made in the health sector in the last five years, mainly in the construction of hospitals, based the MPLA´s airtime in RNA.
In the ten-minute slot reserved for campaigning for the general elections of 24 August, MPLA also talked about the construction of social infrastructure such as schools, ports, airports, among other initiatives that accelerate development such as installing electricity and drinking water.
