Luanda - Angola attends the 6th Congress of the Conference of African Constitutional Jurisdictions (CJCA) taking place in Morocco from November 22 to 24, an organization chaired by Angola since 2019.
The Angolan delegation to the event is headed by the president of the Angolan Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, reads a note from that high court.
The 6th Congress of the CJCA will focus on the relationship between African Constitutional Jurisdictions and International Law, and will also elect the country that will lead the institution in the coming years, replacing Angola.
Composed of 48 constitutional institutions, the CJCA, headquartered in Algeria, is an African institution that brings together the African courts responsible for ensuring the full compliance with the Magna Carta in their respective countries.
The CJCA works to promote constitutional justice, exchange of experiences, promotion of constitutional jurisprudence, dissemination of universal values and principles of the rule of law, democracy and human rights, within the framework of the preamble of the Constitutive Act of the African Union.
