Luanda - The play entitled “África”, by the group Ana Manda, will be performed on the 26th of this month, starting at 7 pm, at the African League, in Luanda.
Speaking to Angop on Monday, the group's coordinator, Ivaldimildo Adão Matias, explained that the work portrays the difficult period of European colonization in Africa, in which Africans lived a time of terror, injustice, discrimination and deprivation of their human rights.
According to him, the play is intended to convey a message of exaltation of the resilience and overcoming capacity of African peoples, in the face of the difficulties imposed by the historical contours of humanity.
The group, founded on February 17, 1996, has several works in its range.
In 2006, the collective won the theater awards at the Cazenga International Culture Festival (FESTECA), in the categories of best group, work and actress. The Ana Manda theater group has 63 members, divided into 3 levels (youth, junior and senior). FMC/AC/CF/DOJ
