Talatona - The bishop of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World (the Tocoists), Dom Afonso Nunes, appealed Sunday, in Luanda, to solidarity and the spirit of brotherhood among Angolans.
The prelate, who was speaking during the thanksgiving service for the closing of the Feasts of Tabernacles, highlighted the need for Angolans to strive for harmony and sharing, contributing to the social well-being.
From a religious perspective, this Feast of Tabernacles teaches that true religion lies in sharing, in sympathizing and feeling the pain of others.
Dom Afonso Nunes therefore urged the faithful to take good examples of love for others, sharing and sanctification outside the church, in order to create a domino environment for society which, according to him, is closing every day that passes, taking each one to their own hole.
During the Feast of Tabernacles, which began on the 14th of the current month, the faithful experienced moments of spiritual elevation, with the preaching of the word, songs and prayers.
This Feast of Tabernacles, or Feast of Harvest, which was originally an agricultural festival, like Easter and Pentecost, is held in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World annually in the month of July. MAG/CF/DOJ
