Luanda – The Angolan plastic artists Lino Damião and Nelo Teixeira inaugurated Wednesday an exhibition called "Exploring /Kubanga Kukatula",in Porto city, Portugal.
The exhibition, to be open until September 03, brings together works of artistic creation and research, focused on artistic residencies and represents the artists' identity and memory, as well as their integration in the Portuguese territory.
Speaking to ANGOP, Lino Damião stressed that the sample represents a process of exploration of the file "Observatório da Chicala" (Luanda) and several technical visits in residences in Lisbon and Porto.
Lino Damião was born in Luanda in 1977. At the age of 12, in 1989, he won the first Painting Prize of the National Union of Visual Artists.
In 2000, he graduated in Plastic Arts at the National Institute of Artistic Training in Luanda. He attended several courses in Drawing, Painting and Engraving.
