Luanda - The App, Net and Business services, as well as cardless withdrawal from Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA) bank will be unavailable, from 23:00 on Saturday (17) until 05:00 on Sunday, the 18th, due to network maintenance, ANGOP learned today.
In a note, the BFA reinforces that the stoppage of these services aims to make functional improvements in the technical support infrastructure.
In view of this fact, the banking institution suggests users and customers to carry out operations in advance, in order to avoid possible constraints during the shutdown period.
BFA was established by public deed of 26 August 2002, following the transformation of the Angola Branch of the Portuguese bank BPI into a bank under Angolan law.
Until the beginning of 2017, BFA was majority-owned by the BPI Group, with 50.1% of its share capital, and the remaining 49.9% was held by Angolan telephone operator Unitel.
On 5 January 2017, in execution of the share purchase and sale agreement signed on 7 October 2016, BPI sold a 2% stake in BFA's share capital to Unitel, which became the majority shareholder of this bank, with 51.9% of the respective capital. CPM/QCB/DOJ
