Lubango - The National Institute for Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises Support (INAPEM) is currently working to broader advertise Startups business to attract partners and new investors, the INAPEM director, Julieta de Oliveira, said Thursday.

The INAPEM director made the statement on the sidelines of the Workshop to present the Huíla Innovation Ecosystem, an initiative of the institution, which aims to strengthen and boost activity in the region.

According to Julieta Oliveira, in Huíla INAPEM has registered 30 startups developed by young people in agriculture, finance, commerce and tourism, which need broader advertising to attract investors, which is why its banking partners and other public institutions were present to support these technological solutions.

She highlighted the development of a start-up by the Huila Polytechnic Institute (IPH) to detect pests and diseases as an example of a technological solution in the agricultural sector.

Bráulio Augusto, INAPEM executive director, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to continue working to empower emerging companies through initiatives that bring them even closer to technological innovation.

He underlined that Huíla has given significant proof of the existing potential and local capacity in terms of innovative solutions promotion.

“There have been several awards and achievements by different entrepreneurs and other partners, so we think the time has come to start entering the consolidation and maturation phase of all these various initiatives,” he emphasized. BP/MS/TED/AMP
