Luanda - The Angolan Parliament Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira, will participate, as a guest, in the 10th Summit of the G20 Parliament presidents, taking place from 6 to 8 of November, in Brasília.
According to a press release ANGOP had access to, the event will take place under the motto "Parliaments for a Fair World and a Sustainable Planet" and will serve to promote debates and discussion of topics related to the fight against hunger, poverty and inequality.
The note says that the event will also promote social and environmental development and debate a fair and inclusive ecological transition, in addition to building global governance adapted to the challenges of the 21st century.
It states that the MPs must also reflect and discuss how parliaments can help define policies to guarantee the population's food and nutritional security.
At the end of the work, based on consensus, a document should be produced that will be delivered to the G20 Leaders’ Summit, scheduled for the 18th and 19th of this month, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The group of parliaments from the richest countries in the world, created in 2010 and called the G20, brings debates with proposals that help contribute to global issues.
It is important to emphasize that the 10th Summit is a joint event between the Chamber of Representatives and the Brazilian Senate and has a partnership with the Inter-Parliamentary Union. LDN/VIC/MRA/DOJ
