Luanda - The 3rd edition of the “Angola Startup2024” summit this Friday enters its second day of exhibitions and thematic forums on technological solutions for various sectors of society.

Opened Thursday by the secretary of State for Trade and Services, Augusta Fortes, the event aims to seek investment opportunities through the exchange of experiences and the realisation of business deals.

On the opening day, the activities included, among others, direct start-up

 pitches, namely, kubeta - launch story, Anda - sharing economy, Sócia - story of an entrepreneur, the importance of start-ups in the economy, as well as Introducing the BIC Africa Project.

In her speech, the secretary of State emphasised the Government's preparation of the national agenda for entrepreneurship, a strategic instrument that outlines the paths to be followed in the short, medium and long term.

She reiterated the interest and importance that the government attaches to this area and its ambition to see it better explored and utilised, as it is an important area of the national economy.

The event is organised by the National Institute for Supporting Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (INAPEM), in partnership with mobile company Unitel, and is being held under the motto “Fostering new business models and verticals”, bringing together more than 135 startups, 20 institutional exhibition stand and 45 speakers at the Talatona Convention Centre.

Until next Saturday, entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors, students, public and private institutions will be showing their interest in promoting innovation, the use of new technologies and the country's digital transformation.
