Luanda – The elections to the Angolan Cycling Federation (FACI) for the 2024/2028 quadrennium are scheduled for 7 September.

This was decided during the extraordinary general assembly held in the Paulo Mbunze Amphitheatre at the Cidadela sports complex.

The meeting analysed the accounts report for 2024 and the electoral package, among other things.

The event under the guidance of the chairwoman of the General Assembly, lawyer Leona Capindissa, the members also approved the Electoral Commission, to be led by António Bi-Figueiredo.

FACI's electoral process began at 12 pm on Sunday (18) and candidate lists will be received from the 20th until the 22nd.

The electoral campaign is due to start on Friday 23rd and run until 5th September, with the election taking place two days later (7th).

Cremilda Rangel is the outgoing chairwoman, who is running to remain in the position. BSV/VAB/MRA/DOJ
