 Luanda - Angola won two bronze medals on Wednesday at the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) World Championship, on the third day of the youth competition, which runs until the 10th, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The athletes are Stélvia Muhanha, in the 44 kg category, and Cláudio Fontoura, in the 2kg category.

 Ericlene Francisco and Henrique Ngoma, both in the 44kg category, did not win a medal, having lost the first two of the three scheduled fights.

 With this result, Angola has three bronze medals, after Albertina Ntyamba achieved the same feat on Tuesday in the 57kg category, while two more competitors from the National Team will take part on Thursday, with Mayra Lemos, in the 62kg category, taking the spotlight.

More than 40 countries are participating in the event, with Angola being the African country with the most medals so far.

The National Team is made up of Cláudio Fontoura (52 kg), Stélvia Munhanha (44 kg), Jorogésio Muachambi (56 kg), Luna Gisela (48 kg), Mayra Lemos (62 kg), Paulo Mavinga (61 kg), Paulo Alfredo (52 kg), Ericlene Francisco (44kg), Estafânio Francisco (52 kg), Dário de Sousa (48 kg), Marcos Amaro (120 kg), Lucas Mendes (48 kg), Henriques Goma (44 kg), Menezes Eduardo (65 kg), Mifa Nicolau (83 kg), Albertina Ntyamba (56 kg) and Yessu Dijuca (52 kg).
