Luanda - The Secretary of State for Media, Nuno Caldas, on Friday urged press attachés to create partnerships with the media and chambers of commerce in the countries where they operate to enhance Angolan economic diplomacy.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar for Press Attachés, the official said these partnerships should be their anchor, underlining the need for networking with chambers of commerce to help diversify the national economy.
"We want each one of you to be a potential interlocutor in diplomacy and, in this way, to encourage investors from these countries to join our country and give greater impetus to the economic diversification program," Caldas said.
The Secretary of State instructed the attachés to continue to maintain contacts with Angolan communities abroad, with the aim to create strategies in human relations.
The seminar discussed topics such as the "Attaché Action Plan and Crisis Situation Management", "Digital/Online Communication Actions", "Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Institutional Communication", "The Relationship of the Press Services with Other Sectors and Publics" and the "Role of the Press Attaché in Strengthening Economic Diplomacy".
