Cuito - The Strategic Plan for the Integral Development of Youth for the period 2024-2027 safeguards the technical and vocational training, the Secretary of State for Youth, Francisco Boaventura Chitapa, said on Thursday in Cuito, Bié province.
Presenting the plan to members of the provincial government, youth associations and guests, Francisco Chitapa said the idea is to take concrete measures to provide more jobs and self-employment.
He explained that the strategic plan integrates more opportunities for young people in the areas of leisure, new projects in the fields of education, culture, economy and agriculture, for the progress of the country and the well-being of young people.
Edgar Hilário, local vice-governor for the Technical and Infrastructure, reiterated the Bié government's commitment to implementing projects in favor of young people in this part of the country and beyond.
The president of the Provincial Football Association, Augusto Teles, emphasised the need for the plan to ensure the construction of more sports courts in schools, strengthening the partnership between the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Education to encourage school sport.
The Strategic Plan for the Integral Development of Youth aims to strengthen the protection of young people's rights, promote and ensure their inclusion and participation in the country's political, social, economic and cultural transformation and development process. JEC/PLB/TED/AMP
