Ondjiva – Three thousand and 17 candidates were selected for the entrance exams to fill the 106 vacancies available in the public competition for internal and external admission to the 2024 civil service, in the province of Cunene.
There are vacancies for the categories of senior and middle technicians, cleaning assistants and drivers, 69 for the provincial government, 11 for the municipality of Cuanhama, 12 for Cahama and Namacunde, five for Ombadja, four for Curoca and three for Cuvelai.
Registration ran from 15 April to 13 May of the current year and covered 10,000 candidates, of whom 7,000 were excluded for failing to meet the necessary requirements.
Speaking Tuesday, at a press conference on the public tender, the spokesman for the jury commission, Francisco Baptista, said that of the excluded candidates, 400 had submitted their complaints, which will be re-examined in the next five days.
He said that at the end of this period, the final list of successful candidates would be published and that a new date, place and time would be proposed for the exams, which were previously scheduled for June 15th to 17th and the results would be published on July 1st this year.
The official recalled that the tests, which will be in oral and written form, will cover subjects related to the organisation of public administration, issues related to ethics and professional deontology in public service, as well as general culture.
Francisco Baptista explained that on the day of the exam, candidates should bring their identity card and enrolment receipt.
Cunene province has an estimated population of 1,157 million inhabitants, spread across the municipalities of Cuanhama, Ombadja, Namacunde, Cahama, Curoca and Cuvelai. PEM/LHE/PA/MRA/DOJ
