Luanda - A charity basketball match between the friends of former basketball players Miguel Lutonda and Edmar Vitoriano ‘Baduna’, ended on Sunday in Luanda Province the campaign to collect donations to support the victims of the floods in Bengo Province.
The event, an initiative of the National Youth Council (CNJ), took place at the Codeme Pavilion and ended with victory for the friends of Baduna with 98 points, while Lutonda's friends scored 84 points.
At half-time, the audience was entertained by the performances of the Projecto X, who enchanted the public with their songs ‘Tamo back’, ‘Negócio fechado’ and ‘Diferença’.
The MVP of the match was former basketball player Baduna and the best scorer was Miguel Lutonda, who received certificates and a painting.
The winning team received a cup from the hands of the president of the CNJ, Isaías Kalunga.
At the end, certificates of merit were presented to 1° D'Agosto, Royal Seguros, Projecto X, Paulo X, Power Energy, among others, for their support of the donation campaign, which began on 20 April.
Speaking to the press, Isaías Kalunga revealed that the donations will be delivered to Bengo province in the coming days to help the flood victims.
“Today was the official end of the campaign, but those who want to help with something can still make it”, he explained.
