Luanda – Angola will have, from this upcoming July, an International Labour Organization (ILO) Office to serve the African Portuguese Speaking Communities (APSC) in terms of issues linked to Professional training, citizen insertion to the UN generation labour system, ANGOP learned this Tuesday.
According to the note, the sub-regional office will be placed in Luanda, in the scope of the working visit from the ILO General Director, Gilberto Houngbo.
As per the document, the decison came out from the meeting between Teresa Dias, Angolan minister of Public Administration, Work and Social Security and Gilberto Houngbo on the sidelines of the 112ª anual International Labour Conference that runs from the 3rd to the 14th of the current month, at the UN palace in Geneva, Switzerland.
During the meeting, both entities assessed the Exchange programs of the Angolan State and the ILO related to promotion and strengthening social justice, based on balanced working relation, solidarity and integration of the most vulnarable labor classes.
At the ocasion, Gilberto Houngbo expressed interest in addressing, at highest level, issues linked to the functioning of the Angola future Office, as well as others with commun interest, such as the status of the projects already implemented and the ones under the table, and the technical assistance board in the country.
Angola celebrated on 4 June, 48 years since joining the International Labor Organization (ILO).
