Luanda - The Supreme Court has scheduled Thursday for the reading of the judgement in the case in which Alceu Olegário Alexandre António, a former Assistant Public Prosecutor in the municipality of Cazengo, Kwanza-Norte province, is on trial, accused of committing the crime of frustrated murder and bodily harm.
The trial began on 19 August and has five witnesses in a case whose facts date back to 12 January 2019.
Alceu Olegário Alexandre António, 35, is accused of shooting at a citizen on the public highway after being involved in an altercation with a motorbike taxi driver.
The criminal case is based on a disagreement between the magistrate and motorcyclists after his wife was involved in a road accident.
The indictment presented by the Public Prosecutor, Lucas dos Santos, points out that Alceu Olegário Alexandre António became involved in conflicts with citizens in the municipality of Cazengo and subsequently wielded a Gerisco nine millimetre 306167 pistol, firing two shots, one of which hit a man, causing injuries to his chest.
In an attempt to leave the scene, the Magistrates continues, he crashed his car into a motorbike, causing serious injuries to a woman.
According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the defendant is regretting the fact that he harmed the integrity not only of the citizen, but also of his class. FMA/ART/DAN/DOJ
