Luanda – The President of the Republic of Angola João Lourenço expressed deep consternation at the death of Dom Alexandre Cardeal do Nascimento, which occurred Saturday, in Luanda, due to illness.
For the Angolan statesman, Angola and the Homeland lose one of its most outstanding sons, a good man who dedicated much of his life to transmitting his values and principles for a life in dignity, forgiveness and respect for others.
“I share the certainty that the deeds of the servant of the Church and the Nation who leaves us today will be perpetuated over generations, as confirmation of the greatness of his career and the nobility of the general cause that he defended throughout his life, that of disseminating the Good”, says a message of condolences from João Lourenço, sent to ANGOP.
For the unfortunate event, the President addresses, on his behalf, on behalf of the family and the Angolan Executive, the deepest feelings of condolence “to the Catholic Church, the Angolan Church and the bereaved family”. ART/DOJ
