Luanda - A workshop on case management and criminal justice will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Luanda to discuss people-centred justice systems.
According to a press release, the meeting to be held by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in partnership with the Supreme Court will also address case management procedures that guarantee prospects for a fair and timely trial.
The press release explains that the event will be attended by Judge-Counselor Efigénia Lima, vice-president of Angola’s Supreme Court, Zahira Virani, resident coordinator of the United Nations, among other personalities.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is one of the specialized agencies of the UN created in 1997. It is mainly active in the fight against organized crime and trafficking, criminal justice reform, prevention of drug abuse and terrorism. VIC/CF/DOJ
