Ramiros - The Minister of Interior, Manuel Homem, on Friday urged the National Police to invest in excellence in the services provided to citizens in order to increase the sense of security.

The minister, who was speaking at a ceremony celebrating the 49th anniversary of the National Police, stressed the need to improve the infrastructure of the corporation in order to perform better.

Manuel Homen spoke of the importance of equipping officers with modern logistical, technical and technological resources, as well as intensifying the surveillance of borders and maritime space under the jurisdiction of the Angolan State.

"We can make Angola a safe, humane country with a better quality of life, making it more attractive to national and foreign investors," said the Minister.

The minister called for the improvement and optimization of practices in police operations, stressing the need to continue investing in training and capacity building.

 "In these 49 years, we have achieved a path marked by significant progress, we have sought to modernize and adapt our working methods, incorporating new technologies and training, which has served to increase our operational efficiency," the minister recalled.
