Luanda - Angolan President João Lourenço sent Wednesday a message to emir of Qatar, Sheik Tamim Bin Hamas Al Thami, as part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
Angolan ambassador António Coelho Ramos da Cruz delivered the letter to Emirate's minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan Bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, in Doha, according to a press release from Angolan Embassy in Qatar.
The two States have maintained diplomatic relations for several years and the cooperation covers several areas.
It recalls that President João Lourenço made a two-day official visit to Qatar in the first half of September 2019, during which several agreements were signed, with emphasis on the reciprocal protection of investments.
On the occasion, the emir of Qatar said he was open and available to encourage Qatari businessmen to invest in Angola in the different branches of the economy.
