Lubango – The Civil Protection and Fire Service (SPCB) of Huíla Province will have a refurbished and well equipped building available next August, thanks to the Akz 480 million investment by the local government from the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).
Governor Nuno Mahapi visited on Wednesday the work that step final stages and stated that it was an unfinished building and that now gives greater dignity to Civil Protection body and the province in general.
He announced that the building will be delivered on the 5th of August, with the equipment already assured, noting that in addition to the repair, it was also expanded, as it gained a third floor and a new amphitheater.
He admitted that the works took “a little long” (four years), due to financial constraints, but fortunately is already surpassed.
While the works continue, the SPCB operates on the premises of the Provincial Office of Social Action, Family and Gender Equality.
