Luanda - Luanda Science Centre may start operating in July, 2023, according to director of the Special Works(GOI) Office, Leonel Crus.
Leonel Crus said so Thursday (04) during a visit the President João Lourenço paid to the construction project, whose works are underway in Luanda downtown.
The construction work resumed at the end of 2021.
The infrastructure, which will help expand scientific knowledge, is expected to publicise the culture, history and Angolan fauna, as well as areas for chemical, physical, mathematical and electrical experiments.
It will include areas for the planetarium, dinosaur, butterfly, laboratories, library and a soap factory.
The institution will also have two centres installed on vehicles, equipped with professional training means to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
The Minister for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário Bragança Sambo, said that the institution will have staff from the merger of technological and national scientific research centres, who will undergo specific training.
