Luanda – Angola attended Thursday In Doha the Festival of Community Days aimed to display the cultural diversity of Qatar, with cultural performances from various countries.
According to a press release to which ANGOP had access Friday, Angola presented a promotional video that illustrates the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, in addition to the different stages of national reconstruction.
António Ramos da Cruz, Angola's ambassador to Qatar, led the Angolan delegation at the event.
The initiative, called the Year of Culture, is an international cultural exchange aimed at improving understanding between nations, announced for the first time when Qatar won the right to host the Football World Cup.
"Food trucks stuffed the Festival of Community Days at Flag Plaza, with a presentation of cuisine from Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania", reads the press note.
"Flag Plaza" is a new public space in Doha, initiated by the “Years of Culture” programme, where 119 flags are hoisted, representing the countries with embassies accredited in Qatar.
