Luanda – The National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) trained recently more than three hundred young people in financial literacy and business management in Luanda.
As part of the "Envolver" project, the action provided participants with knowledge so that they can develop the ability to identify the benefits and costs associated with investments/financing, as well as enlightening them on entrepreneurial issues.
According to the project coordinator, Jorge Chaves, the session also helped young people to set up a company and make it profitable, with an emphasis on economic and financial issues.
He added that, in general, more than 2,000 entrepreneurs have already been trained, who are waiting for the phase of creating incubators and financing from banks.
The project has the support of 19 commercial banks in the country, with technical trainers and national teachers in its area and the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal 'IPS' (Portugal).
On the occasion, certificates were awarded to several entrepreneurs, in a ceremony witnessed by members of the European Union, namely Cristina Palma and Filipe Bacalhau.
The "Envolver" project is part of the Government's Production Support, Export Diversification and Import Substitution Program (PRODESI). It is led by INAPEM and financed by the European Union.
