Huambo – The 37 national companies participating in the III Business and Connectivity Forum, held over two days in Huambo, committed to establishing partnerships with each other, especially in the fields of agriculture, energy and water, transport, logistics, irrigation and communication.
The information was confirmed by the Executive Director of the Forum, Joaquim Dombaxe, at the end of the event, which opened on Friday, in an initiative by the Media Nova Group, under the motto “Agriculture, the basis of food sustainability”.
He said that businesspeople realized that there are many activities that can be done better among themselves, through partnerships and mutual benefits, simply by having more synchronization and coordination in business.
He stressed that the III Business and Connectivity Forum demonstrated business potential and what is best in terms of agribusiness in the country, such as wheat production in this region of the Central Highlands.
Of the 37 companies committed to establishing partnerships, the official said that five have already started negotiating, namely those that carry out irrigation work for farms, information and communication technologies, solar energy and water.
He added that, in addition to exceeding expectations, the initiative brought together the strengths of businesspeople, who scheduled meetings, to cooperate in the solar energy, water, irrigation, implementation of information and communication technologies in difficult-to-access areas.
'Most entrepreneurs were left with a business portfolio to close, which is very good for the national economy, with windows of opportunities that can open for small, medium and large companies in the country' he highlighted.
The businessman in the information and communication technology sector, Gilberto Caundi, from the province of Cabinda, said that it was possible to establish new partnership contacts to increase the business portfolio in the logistics sector.
Cármen Salvador, from the agriculture sector, said that it was possible to establish partnerships in the acquisition of fertilizers for small farmers with the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA).
The forum addressed, among other topics, “Credit and access to financing funds”, “Food production and distribution”, “Industrialization of agricultural production, “Production of seeds, fertilizers and animal feed” and “Exploration business of seeds, fertilizers and animal feed”.
