Luanda – Angola beat Eswatini 1-0 on Friday, in Luanda, in a game counting for Group D qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to happen in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The sole goal of the match, played on 11 de Novembro Stadium, was scored by Mabululo on the second minute of the encounter.
Angola are now in the second position of the group with 5 points, while Eswatini have no point.
Meanwhile, Lybia, who beat Mauritius on Thursday by 2-1, lead the group with 7 points. Cabo Verde and Cameroon both have 4 points and are scheduled to face each other on Saturday.
The Sable Antelopes (nickname of the Angolan senior males national football squad) will play again on Tuesday (11), against Cameroon, in Luanda’s 11 de Novembro Stadium, for the fourth round of this eliminatory stage.
Angola is looking for its second qualification for the FIFA World Cup, after debuting in such arena in the 2006World Cup, in Germany.
