Luanda – Interclube won, this Sunday (23), the 45th edition of the National Championship senior men's handball team, by beating Petro de Luanda, 26-16, in the final game, played at the Cidadela Desportiva Pavilion, in the country’s capital.
Despite the very balanced start, in which the “oil sponsored” team lost by a mere 9-10, it was unable to contain the purposes of the formation of the “police” in revalidating the title.
Interclube started the match well, scoring first, but Petro, a theoretically weaker team than their opponent, it took the lead, when the clock counted seven minutes, taking the lead to 3-2, thanks to the performance of his goalkeeper, Raúl Gonçalo, who nullified the attacks of the opposite parties.
In the second half, Raúl Gonçalo started with a great save from Interclube's first attack, but the ball bounced back to the opponent who managed to score on the rebound.
Interclube managed to score three goals, 33 minutes into the second half, as a result of good defense, pressure and loss of balls from your less experienced opponent.
In the final phase, the great superiority and quality of the champion's squad came to the fore, being able to rotate six players, except the goalkeeper, but with the same number, which guaranteed him the expressive triumph and the consequent preservation of the national title. DJ/VAB/DOJ
