Luanda – National Under-20 football team qualified for the semi-finals of the Cosafa Cup after beating the Seychelles Islands 8-1, in a game played at the Mavuso stadium, in Eswatine, in the third and final round of Group B of the Southern Africa Tournament.
Athletes Joy (twice), Lopes, Danilson Makokisa (hat-trick), Paxe and Luís Borges scored for Angola.
In the previous 2nd leg match, Angola lost (0-1) to Mozambique. Thus, Mozambicans are the first in the group, followed by Angolan.
For the semi-finals, Angola plays against Zambia and Mozambique face South Africa.
Mozambique are the holder of the tournament trophy. This edition is a qualifier for the next African Championship of the category, which will take place in 2023, in Egypt.
