Caxito - The works at the “José Sayovo” Paralympic Sports Complex, in the province of Bengo, are at 65% physically execution stage.
The project was visited on Thursday, Jan 6, by the Minister of State for Social Area, Maria do Rosário Bragança, who was satisfied with the works progress.
Speaking to the press, the government official reported that she liked what she saw, and confirmed that is in line with the plans that the government intends for inclusion.
She said that the project is an example of inclusion, as it will provide access to different Olympic and Paralympic sports and praised the way in which the project is designed, in a space that combines sport with nature.
Maria Bragança considered the Sports Complex as a unique project, as the region will be able to host athletes from other countries, thus constituting a good example for the country to begin an effective management process, aiming for the best use of resources and better results from the ground up.
She informed that, in addition to being a benefit of 50 years of National Independence, the infrastructure is also a benefit to the country, made up mainly of young people who play sports, and has a training and leisure component.
She also stressed that the sport facility will also allow the removal of many young people from drugs and other bad practices, as well as helping any citizen to value themselves and this project will be another opportunity to overcome these obstacles.
The minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, who was also present, said that the Complex's football square will have synthetic grass, stressing that a training field should not be confused with a competition field.
He highlighted that the work is in its final phase with the application of ceramics, so that it can be completed by the end of September this year, as scheduled.
