Luanda - Angola’s President of the Republic João Lourenço on Monday congratulated Angolan Luzimere Garcia for winning the gold medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, Brazilian version.
"Congratulations to the young Angolan Luzimere Garcia for winning the title of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, in Las Vegas, US," President João Lourenço wrote on his twitter page.
In his statement, João Lourenço said that Angola is proud of its young people for raising high the good name and flag of the country in international competitions.
A 31-year-old brown belt, super heavyweight category, the athlete won the gold medal in Master, besides another bronze in absolute, in a competition that ended on Saturday (3).
