Basketball: Angola U-18 defeated in Afrobasket debut game

Luanda – Angola’s Under-18 males basketball team lost to Egypt 43-69 Thursday, in the first round of group B of the African Under-18 Championship being held in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

 Angola face the defending champions Mali on Friday for the 2nd round of the continental competition being contested in a round-robin system.

 

Angola's group includes Guinea and Rwanda.

 

Algeria, Benin, Madagascar and Senegal make up group B.

 

The Angolan national team’s coach is Apolinário Paquete.
