Luanda - Angola national senior women's handball team beat Democratic Republic of Congo 35-22, in the third and last round of group A of the 25th African Championship being held in Dakar, Senegal.
The Angolans, who faced some difficulties, ended the first half with a 17-14 lead.
With this victory, the African champions, already qualified for the quarter-finals, have six points and finish undefeated at the top of the group.
Magda Cazanga was elected the MVP of the match adding to three the number of Angolan athletes elected MVP in the competition after Natália Bernardo and Isabel Guialo.
Angola beat Algeria 29-17 and Cabo Verde by 38-15 in the first two matches of the group stage.
