Luanda - The President of Ghana, John Dramani Manama, arrives on Saturday, 25, in Luanda, for a visit of a few hours to Angola.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ghanaian Head of State will be received at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by Minister Téte António.

Political-diplomatic relations between Angola and Ghana are characterized by mutual cooperation, historical ties and common interests, particularly in the context of the African Union (AU) and other multilateral organizations.

Both countries share a vision of promoting peace, sustainable development, and regional integration on the African continent.

Angola and Ghana have historical roots linked to the struggle for African independence and the strengthening of the Pan-Africanist movement.

As for economic and trade cooperation, the two countries have explored opportunities to strengthen economic ties, especially in the energy, mining and agriculture sectors.

Companies from both countries have shown interest in investing in strategic sectors such as oil and gas, given the relevance of these sectors to their economies.

On the international scene, Angola and Ghana collaborate in forums such as the United Nations, the AU and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), focusing on issues related to security, stability and development.

Both advocate strengthening African institutions to address common challenges such as terrorism, regional conflicts, and climate change.

Relations continue to deepen with diplomatic visits and bilateral agreements, aimed at promoting peace, economic development and the well-being of their populations. VIC/DOJ
