Luanda – The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, has sent a congratulations message to Luís Filipe Montenegro, the recently appointed Prime Minister of Portugal, following the electoral victory of the political coalition he led in this month’s legislative elections.
In the letter, João Lourenço highlights the cultural and blood ties that exist between Angola and Portugal.
The message also underlines that Portugal and Angola are destined to walk “hand in hand”in the search of the best solutions for social progress and economic development of both peoples.
Luís Filipe Montenegro was appointed Prime Minister this week by the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, following the victory obtained by the Aliança Democrática (Democratic Alliance – AD) Coalition , in the 10th March elections.
