Luanda - Angolan striker Cristóvão Paciência "Mabululu", who plays for Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya, tops the scoring charts with five goals in the first three rounds of the Libyan Premier League 2024-2025 season.
The Petro de Luanda-trained forward scored twice in the opening round, in the 85th and 90th minutes, in a 3-0 win over Al Malaab el Libby on December 14.
He also netted twice in a 5-0 win over Asaria SC in the 35th and 38th minutes in the second round, before scoring from the penalty spot (65') in a 2-0 win over Al Ittihad Misurata in the third round on Wednesday.
The Angolan striker is followed on the list of top scorers by Al Ahly Tripoli's Ahmed Kraouaa with four goals.
Mabululu top the standings with nine points, followed by Al-Khmes with three less.
On December 16 in Marrakech, Morocco, Mabululu received the award for the best goal of 2024 at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) awards gala for the best players in Africa.
The goal came in a 3-0 win over Namibia at the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire in January this year.
Mabululu played a key role in Angola's unprecedented qualification for CAN'2025, which will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026.
He won the "Girabola" national championship and the Angolan Cup with 1.º de Agosto in the 2018/19 season, and a Super Cup with Petro de Luanda in 2013.
At the age of 32, he has represented clubs such as Recreativo do Libolo (2013), Interclube (2016), Atlético Sport Aviação - ASA (2017), Domant FC (2018), 1.º de Agosto (2018/19-2020/21) and Al-Ittihad Alexandria (2021/22 - 2023/24). IN/WR/AMP
