Luanda - Petro de Luanda’s power forward, Aboubakar Gakou was elected the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 43rd edition of the National Senior Males Basketball Championship after his team's victory over Interclube, by 87-82, in the third game of the final.
In the decisive game, which confirmed the superiority of Petro de Luanda in what was to be the five-game playoff, Aboubakar Gakou achieved a double-double, scoring 14 points and capturing 11 rebounds.
Carlos Morais and Gilson Bango both took two individual prizes home each. The first with the titles of best scorer of the championship and best three points scorer, while the second was the best rebounder.
