Luanda - Angola will observe Sierra Leone's presidential elections scheduled for Saturday, where 3.37 million voters are expected to cast ballots.
The Angolan MP Manuel Augusto, who also represents the Pan African Parliament (PAP), is in Freetown, capital of Sierra Leone to fulfill the observation task.
After 11 years of civil war (which ended in 2002), Sierra Leone is preparing for its fifth presidential election.
Voters, in this West African country, will also elect members of parliament and other local representatives.
According to local analysts, this democratic exercise will mainly face off the two main candidates, the current President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, who is running for another term, and the leading opposition, All People's Congress (APC), Samura Kamara.
In addition to the two main contenders the ballot paper includes 11 other contenders. MR/AL/Amp/jmc
