Luanda - Electricity was restored on Monday night in 11 provinces of the country, after a few hours of blackout in the North and Central Interconnected System, the National Electricity Transmission Network (RNT) said in a statement.
The provinces affected by the blackout were Luanda, Icolo e Bengo, Cuanza-Norte, Cuanza-Sul, Uige, Zaire, Bengo, Malanje, Benguela, Huambo and Bié.
According to the statement, all the affected provinces have been reconnected, with the exception of Estalagem (Viana) in Luanda, which is without electricity due to a specific technical reason that is still being investigated by the technical teams.
RNT adds that the reasons for the "general cut-off" will be clarified shortly.
