Mbanza-Kongo - The São Salvador do Kongo club, from Zaire Province, suffered their second home defeat on Sunday (30), losing to Recreativo do Libolo by 0-1, in a match corresponding to the 22nd round of the first division National Football Championship (Girabola 2024/2025).
In the 18th round of the Girabola 2024/25, played in last Feb at the Álvaro Buta municipal stadium, in the city of Mbanza-Kongo, the club led by Flávio Amado lost to Petro de Luanda, 0-1.
On Sunday, the only goal was scored by Pneu, in the 59th minute, following a counterattack by the Recreativo do Libolo, after a quick transition.
The home team had several opportunities throughout the match, but were unable to score a goal.
With this defeat, São Salvador dropped to 6th place, with 33 points on the league table.
On Wednesday (2 April), the team will travel to Inter's home ground, in Luanda, following the 23rd round of the Girabola, while Libolo will host Desportivo da Lunda-Sul.

Flávio Amado, São Salvador's coach, said that his players were unlucky, judging by the amount of play the team produced during the 90 minutes.
“We had a lot of possession of the ball, but unfortunately luck was not on our side,” he said.
In turn, Recreativo do Libolo's Coach, Hélder Teixeira, said that despite the atypical performance, his team knew how to take advantage of the only opportunity of the match.
