Luanda – The 11 de Novembro Stadium is exceptionally authorized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host matches of the National team, aiming at the qualifications for the African Cup of Nations (CAN), to be held between June and July 2023, in Ivory Coast.
The information was confirmed to ANGOP, this Monday, in the country's capital, by the vice-president of the Technical Council of the Angolan Federation of the sport, José Neves.
The official explained that the guarantee is temporary and that, on each round carried out, CAF guided the inspection of the property by specialized technicians.
According to him, after this qualifying phase, the infrastructure will remain closed until the Ministry of Youth and Sports (owner of the venue) notifies the competent authorities, reporting compliance with CAF's requirements, to request another inspection.
Remember, CAF had already guided an equal action by temporarily releasing the property in the game between the National Team and the Egypt counterpart (2-2), on the 12th of November, for the fifth round of the qualifiers for access to Qatar 2023 - World Cup.
