Luanda - Rallies and mobilisation campaigns across several venues marked the 17th day of electoral campaign, ahead of the general elections on 24, August 2022.
PHA
The Humanist Party of Angola (PHA) completed the training of its party agents in the provinces of Lunda Norte and Bengo.
The party, headed by Florbela Malaquias, staged its campaign in Caconda, Chipindo and Cuvango municipalities, southern Huila province.
P-NJANGO
P-NJANGO focused its activity on Sumbe city, Cuanza Sul province, during which its executive secretary in the region, Sandi Lucuta, appealed for a massive participation in the polling station.
He explained to the voters the placement on the ballot of the party leader and the candidate for President of the Republic, Eduardo Jonatão Chingunji.
On Wednesday, UNITA's leader Adalberto Costa Júnior reiterated in the municipality of Cuango, eastern Lunda Norte province, the creation of a stability and growth pact, a legislative piece for the coordination of the country's social and economic policies.
Addressing a mass rally, he said that such an instrument aimed at promoting dialogue with political parties and civil society.
FNLA
In Uige province, FNLA President Nimi Simbi sacked the provincial secretary of the party, Pinto Luvambo, over alleged lack of organisation of the party's structures.
APN
The party´s president, Quintino Moreira, spoke out in favour of fair salaries for the National Police officers, "as a way of dignifying these professionals, who endure much sacrifice for social stability".
Speaking in Kwanza Norte province, during a mass rally, as part of the election campaign, Moreira promised to pay a salary of over 90,000 kwanzas, if elected in the upcoming elections.
CASA-CE
CASA-CE presidential candidate, Manuel Fernandes, led a mass rally in Huila province. The coalition leader promised to give more dignity to the security forces, improve the health system and fight for education quality.
PRS
In eastern Lunda Norte province, the PRS leader, Benedito Daniel, announced the improvement of the national education and health system.
In his speech delivered in Cafunfu, Cuango municipality, he spoke of rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary roads, especially in eastern region of Angola and implement municipal elections.
MPLA
The MPLA ruling party, under its leader, took advantage of Wednesday morning to hold a mass political rally in the province of Malanje.
João Lourenço, who is running for his succession, defended a bigger investment on agriculture to make the country self-sufficient in food production.
MPLA held door-to-door mobilisation campaigns in the provinces of Namibe and Lunda Sul.
