Dundo - The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) seized over the weekend, 35,000 liters of gasoline in the municipality of Caungula, Lunda-Norte province for smuggling.
The information was provided this Monday, to ANGOP, by the SIC spokesperson in Lunda-Norte, Graciano Lumanhe.
He highlighted that a tanker truck containing the fuel was also seized and the perpetrator of that smuggling activity were arrested.
He said the fuel was destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where it would be sold.
He highlighted that the seizure occurred at a time when the alleged perpetrator of the crime was transshipping fuel from the tank into plastic barrels with a capacity of 250 liters each, in order to be transported to DRC.
The SIC spokesperson also informed that the fuel will be included in the criminal case against the citizen and forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office for subsequent steps.HD/DOJ
