Luanda – Angola national Under-17 football team beat Lesotho 2-1 on Wednesday in their opening match of the Cosafa Cup played at the Soweto stadium in South Africa.
The Angolans' goals came from Eliseu and Densel, while Ngoko scored Lesotho's consolation goal.
The national team was already leading 1-0 at half-time.
With this win, Angola leads group A with three points.
Angola faces Malawi on Friday at 12pm, at the Um Às Muller stadium, while Lesotho clashes with another Portuguese-speaking team, Mozambique, on the same day (3pm), also in the second round.
Angola is looking for their third trophy, having won the competition in 2018 and 2021.JAD/MC/DAN/AMP
