Luanda - The trial of Generals Manuel Vieira Dias "Kopelipa" and Leopoldino Fragoso do Nascimento "Dino" will resume on Monday at the Supreme Court, in which they are accused of embezzlement, falsification of documents and abuse of power.
According to a press release that ANGOP had access to, the Supreme Court will resume the trial of the case presented by the Public Prosecutor's Office against the two generals and other co-defendants such as the Chinese citizen Yiu Haiming and the companies China Internacional Found (CIF), Plansmart Internacional Limited and Utter Right International Limited.
It includes charges of fraud, criminal association, money laundering and influence peddling.
The trial, which involves 38 declarants and witnesses, began on December 10, 2024, was rescheduled for March 10.
The Public Ministry is represented by magistrate Lucas Ramos, while the defense is represented by lawyers Bangula Kemba, Benja Satula and Amaral Gourgel.
