Luanda- Angola and Côte d'Ivoire signed on Tuesday several instruments to strengthen cooperation in various areas.
The protocol is expected to raise the level of relations in the Interior, Territorial Administration, Tourism, Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media, Health, Culture, Environment, Higher Education and Education sectors.
Signed during the 1st session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between Angola and Cote d’Ivoire, the meeting assessed the projects underway between the two countries and reviewed the agreements in force and the constraints to materialize the commitments made between the parties.
The Angolan Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tete António, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorian Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Léon Kacou Adom were the signatories.
Angola’s minister reiterated his country’s commitment to implement these protocols for the benefit of both peoples, while Léon Kacou Adom said the paths that have just been mapped out will bring significant benefits to both peoples.
The Ivorian minister underscored that the path will strengthen the confidence in a bright future, looking at both countries’ potential and the work between the economic operators of the two nations.
The first session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the two countries took place 39 years after the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation signed on June 19, 1985 in Yamoussoukro (Côte d'Ivoire). LIN/ART/AMP
