Caxito - With the aim of promoting the book as an instrument for rebuilding the consciousness of the people of Angola, focusing on the matrix of Bantu culture, the Levarte movement is holding the 4th edition of the Angola Arts and Culture Fair (FACA) from 24 to 26 April in Caxito, Bengo province.

The cultural event, which aims to bring the book closer to the reader, will bring together more than book exhibitors, booksellers, writers, publishers, visual artists, seamstresses, craftspeople and sculptors, who will contribute to enriching the environment.

According to the organisers, LevArte's aim with the event is to propose strategies for promoting books in the academic community and the family, in order to stimulate reading that aims to develop the economy, culture and politics of the people of Angola.

FACA's objectives include stimulating the reader's reading habit, creating an academic-cultural exchange between the different exhibitors and readers, encouraging academic-cultural tourism in the community, and celebrating the 45th anniversary of Bengo province and the 50th anniversary of Angola's independence.

LevArte is a literary and cultural movement of a philanthropic nature, founded on 20 July 2006, whose aims are to encourage reading, literature and artistic creativity, to publish scientific and literary works, and to promote cultural exchange between national and foreign artists. CJ/HD/DOJ
