Luanda -Angola Airlines (TAAG) increased its cargo service in July, to two flights a week from Luanda to cities of Lagos (Nigeria), Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) and Johannesburg (South Africa), the company said in a statement.
The increase aims to strengthen its participation in the African regional market, with the carrier now having more than 100 tons of cargo capacity each week on the Luanda/Johannesburg/Luanda connection and more than 45 tons on the Luanda/Lagos/Brazzaville/Luanda route, the statement said.
TAAG said it added the B737-800BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter) model freighter, with capacity to carry up to 24 tons of cargo, accommodating 10 pallets in 96x125 inch format.
