Quiçama - The bishop of the Diocese of Porto, Portugal, Dom Manuel Rodrigues da Silva Linda, exhorted on Saturday, in the village of Muxima, more harmony among human being, union and less selfishness.
This event in greeting the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Conceição da Muxima, takes place under the motto, 'With Mary Let Us Live in Faith the Year of Prayer'.
To the thousands of faithful, the bishop, who was speaking during the opening mass of the pilgrimage, warned of the need to avoid discord and the importance of a fraternal treatment between one and the other.
On the other hand, he congratulated all Angolans who contributed to the achievement of peace, allowing a healthy coexistence and encouraged everyone in the certainty of a bright future for all.
In his homily, the bishop reproached the improper and inappropriate use of the internet and social networks, aiming to create intrigues, social and political upheavals, among other evils that taint healthy social coexistence.
'It is necessary not to follow what is happening in other countries where through social networks they provoke armed and social conflicts', warned the bishop.
Dom Manuel Linda appealed to Angolans to trust in the purposes of the Virgin Mary who provides peace and hope in better days after knowing the afflictions of all.
'Mama Muxima is the one who knows the difficulties of the world and intervenes with her son to bring tranquility to men', she said.
The pilgrimage ends Sunday with a mass to be presided over by the archbishop of Huambo, Dom Zeca Martins. AJQ/DOJ
